Wirral Food and Drink Festival

The Wirral Food and Drink Festival has grown into one of the most successful in the country, with last year’s event attracting almost 30,000 visitors. The 2010 event promises to be even bigger and better than ever as a highlight of Wirral’s Year of Food.

The August Bank Holiday weekend will see Claremont Farm, Bebington transformed into a cornucopia of fantastic food on Sunday 29th August and Monday 30th August. Now in its fifth year, the festival features exhibitors and stalls from the finest specialist food producers in England and North Wales.

Savour the very best of fresh, rural, traditional produce: crumbly cheese from Cheshire, delicious lamb and fruit liqueurs from North Wales, Sarsaparilla from Lancashire, and coffee from….Birkenhead! Adams & Russell is Wirral’s only coffee roaster. Enjoy the locally-brewed real ale in the Brimstage Beer and Cider tent whilst listening to live music and sampling savouries and sweets from local restaurants.

This year also features the ‘Can Cook’ Domes which will enable visitors to participate in workshops and learn new culinary skills. Places for the popular cookery stations will be on a first come, first served basis, so do arrive early.
